The plantCam team made a great finding on it’s last visit to Caly in December. A couple of meters below Caly on the steep moss-covered slope, 3 small seedlings have emerged!
Besides being absolute the cutest, these seedlings represent hope for extremely rare species like Caly. They show how crucial conservation efforts such as predator and invasive species control can provide the conditions for these plants to endure and naturally propagate, despite at times being seemingly against tough odds.
